Alluvial

Featuring Jack Freestone

Alluvial — with a literal meaning of sand deposited by water, and a figurative meaning of being shaped by flow and movement — felt like the perfect title for this film. A quick strike to Mexico with Jack Freestone turned into a few sunburnt days chasing empty surf under the hot southern sun. Sitting between two swells, luck wasn’t quite on our side, but the crew made the most of it—long days, long drives and even longer treks across scorched sand. On our final days, to our surprise, we stumbled upon a dreamy rivermouth setup, perfectly living up to the name. What followed was a raw look at Jack’s effortless style in everyman’s waves, captured in a no-frills edit that mirrors the lively rhythm of coastal Mexico. A handful of fun days filled with waves & al pastor in Huatulco—proof that even when the forecast doesn’t come to fruition, there’s still plenty to stay entertained down south.
