Cotton has traditionally been quite an unsustainable material. It’s thirsty and prone to pests, which is why cotton farming usually involves a lot of chemicals. But certified organic cotton is different. It promotes natural growth, without dangerous pesticides, making it safer for farmers and better for the environment. It also biodegrades faster at the end of its lifecycle.
Our Classics Swimwear range uses premium Italian Carvico VITA, made from 100% ECONYL regenerated nylon - composed of post-consumer materials such as ocean plastic, abandoned fishing nets, and waste fabric that would otherwise end up in landfill.
Recycled polyester is used across Rhythm’s beach shorts and trunks. It’s a man-made, quick-dry fabric, produced by the Green Circle recycling program. Compared with traditional polyester, Green Circle polyester requires about 50% less energy and 50% less carbon to produce, making it the more sustainable choice.
